Sunday Fun-day //

Hello all! So sorry for the lack of posting! Finals, last minute Christmas shopping, and the endless coffee runs were consuming my life but now everything is beginning to slow down! Phew! Hope everyone had a great holiday season and I cannot wait to share some of the new pieces I got under the tree!

Today was my shopping/ return day, so I had to be comfy running around town! Although I set out to exchange some things, I came home with more than I left with (as always). These Lucky Brand jeans are my new obsession and paired with ankle booties? Um, yes please! On top, I went easy with a blue tee and some gold accessories.

Thanks for stopping by!

Watch Wednesday

Long time, no post!

All of my life, I was never a "watch person." However, now that my life has gotten busier and my track of time is getting more and more questionable, I have one of these little babies on my wrist almost everyday. I've seen so many cute ones around, and this one was a birthday gift! The design allows it to sit alone, or the gold hardware makes it easy to layer! Running late to class has never been stylish.

Thanks for stopping by and happy hump day!

Forever 21 Favorites

Clockwise from top left: Faux Suede Fringe Mini Skirt, Faux Leather Lace-Up Flats, Contemporary Ribbed Cowl Neck Sweater, Bauble Stone Ring Set

Here are a few fall favorites from Forever 21! The black fringe skirt is so cute, I can see this with a sweater or long sleeve crop top and some ankle booties for sure. I've been looking for some of these lace up flats, and these are a close replica of the Steve Madden ones. And who doesn't love a good, roomy sweater when it gets cold outside? The cowl neck gives this plain sweater some dimension, and extra warmth! Every time I walk into a store, I head for the accessories wall first. Even if I don't need a thing, I can't walk out without peeking at the rings and necklaces...bad habit for sure. Here are some cute stone ones, and I like that the gold is somewhat vintage-y looking!

Fall Flannel

In California, fall comes late - if at all - but that doesn't mean you can't dress like it! I love this chestnut color seen in my purse, booties, and watch band...very autumn-y. I can't stop buying flannels at the moment (which would explain the dress!) they are definitely the most versatile look this season, you can wear them with something light, like a skirt, or simply buttoned up with some jeans. I went to a concert last night, so excuse the non-matching, green wristband haha!

Mon(diy) - DIY Tassel Garland

Happy Monday!

What better start to the week than a DIY? This week I made a cute tassel garland, it's perfect for brightening any room-
from a dorm wall to a work office!
The best part? You only need 3 things and it takes around 3 minutes!

Let's get started!

Materials: yarn, an index card, and scissors

To make the tassel, take a standard index card and cut it however big you want your tassel strings

Then, cut a small rectangle from your shape

Start wrapping your yarn around the card to desired thickness, around 10-15 times.

Then cut a small piece of yarn and knot the top of the tassel

Cut the bottom part of the tassel and...

you're finished!

Repeat the process a few times, slip it on a string and you have yourself a garland!
